Hampstead Community Project

Hampstead Community Project (HCP) is a community initiatives conducted by the Hampstead SDA Church every Sunday. We believe in helping to meet the needs of our community, ministering to the less fortunate, widows, sick, hungry, naked, homeless and the poor.

We provide hot vegan/vegetarian meals to three hostels, the homeless in Camden Town, local residents and all those come to our church hall for a takeaway meal or to eat their meals at church in a warm friendly space, where they interact with other users and volunteers who provide support and prayers if requested. In addition to a hot meals we provide a variety of bread, fruits, vegetables, clothing, shoes, beddings, sleeping bags, books and Bibles. Each week we server approximately 140 meals.

Our project is funded by Camden Council Cost of Living Community Response Fund, church members and other donors. We have 32 volunteers including non members who assist in the smooth running of this project.

If you would like to be a part of our project as a user or volunteer, contact Naomi on 07837516135. HCP is open to the public every Sunday from 1:00pm to 2:30 pm.

In 2023 HCP served 5,648 meals to local residents and hostels. It also received monetary contribution of £4,948,82 from donors plus ingredients for cooking, clothing, shoes, blankets and warm clothing, if you would like to donate to HCP, kindly send your donations to Hampstead SDA church
